Brooklyn Big Man Closing In On Decision

Reporter Frank Mantesta has the story on Kyrie Sutton ...

This time of year seems to be speculation and rumors about where talented young players will continue their education and basketball careers. Kyrie Sutton of Boys and Girls High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., is in that group.

There has been reports he has signed with St. Peter's of Jersey City, N.J. According to Boys and Girls head coach Ruth Lovelace, as of Wednesday night, they were NOT TRUE.

In fact, he did not visit St. Peter's yet. She said he will go soon. Both sides are very interested in each other but it has not happened yet.

Kyrie has a lot of schools interested. At 6-foot-9 and being available this late in the recruiting season, it is no surprise. He is an excellent shot blocker and rebounder who can finish.

Fordham is also on his list to take a visit. They have been interested for awhile.

Manhattan, which recently had no scholarships available, now have one due to a transfer. They are once again interested in Kyrie. St Francis of New York is also involved. On Wednesday afternoon, Saint Louis University showed interest as well. In the past, it has been reported Tulane, St. Bonaventure, South Carolina, St. John's, Boston College, Quinnipiac, and College of Charleston had shown some interest.

Kyrie is qualified and is just making sure where he decides to go is the right place for him. All these schools are well liked by Kyrie so his decision will be coming soon.
