Padgett, 6-foot-8 and 215-pounds, has been playing for Tiny Morton's Juice All Stars at the Rumble in the Bronx held on the campus of Fordham University.

James is a forward many schools are watching. He said he was open to any school trying to get involved. When asked what schools were calling the most, he stated: "Pittsburgh, West Virginia, St. John's, Providence, Rutgers, and South Carolina."
When asked if he has a leader in his recruiting process, he responded: "No. I'm listening to all the schools. It's early. So I have some time before I do anything. I've been focusing on making my game better."
James has long arms and runs the floor well. He's able to elevate enough to play the game above the rim. Consistency is a key for his future progress as a basketball player. But he's already indicated he's willing to work hard on all parts of his game.
