Lincoln Big Man Open In Recruiting Process

Lincoln big man prospect James Padgett is looking forward to the summer for several reasons. "A chance to work on every part of my game," he said with a smile.

"I'm going to spend as much time as I can working on my shooting, defense, passing, and dribbling."

Padgett, 6-foot-8 and 215-pounds, has been playing for Tiny Morton's Juice All Stars at the Rumble in the Bronx held on the campus of Fordham University.

"There's a lot of good players here so it's fun to have that challenge," he said.

James is a forward many schools are watching. He said he was open to any school trying to get involved. When asked what schools were calling the most, he stated: "Pittsburgh, West Virginia, St. John's, Providence, Rutgers, and South Carolina."

When asked if he has a leader in his recruiting process, he responded: "No. I'm listening to all the schools. It's early. So I have some time before I do anything. I've been focusing on making my game better."

James has long arms and runs the floor well. He's able to elevate enough to play the game above the rim. Consistency is a key for his future progress as a basketball player. But he's already indicated he's willing to work hard on all parts of his game.
