Bronx Native Cleared To Play College Ball

Curtis Dennis, a 6-foot-5 wing from Findlay College (Nev.) Prep, has been cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse to play at the University of New Mexico for the 2008-2009 season, according to a report in The Albuquerque (N.M.) Journal.

Dennis, a native of The Bronx, N.Y., and a former standout at Blessed Sacrament-St. Gabriel High School in New Rochelle, N.Y., signed with the Mountain West Conference program in November.

Dennis spent the 2007-2008 school year at Findlay Prep after attending Houston Inner City Academy in Houston, Texas, during the 2006-2007 school year.

Dennis was originally a member of the class of 2006 out of Blessed Sacrament. He was a longtime standout with the New York Ravens AAU program.
