RECRUITING UPDATE: Tamir spoke to us and said he could open up his recruiting process. "It's a possibility," he said. "I'm still committed right now to UAB. But maybe after the summer is over I might open up my recruiting."

Jackson will play for Jimmy Salmon's Playaz team in Las Vegas next week in the second half of the July evaluation period. Jackson was part of the Playaz Gold team that captured the Joe Brown Memorial tournament held earlier this week on the campus of FDU.

"I should have a better idea in August what I might want to do," Jackson said. "I thought about looking at other schools."

PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF TAMIR JACKSON'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

STRENGTHS: Tamir seems to make sure he has a solid handle on the pumpkin when directing the offense. He plays on a team filled with many offensive players who have ability to take over the game. He has a good first step, forcing his defender to backpeddle from time to time, allowing him to knock down some jumpers.

AREAS TO IMPROVE: The outside game. If Jackson is more consistent in his perimeter game, it will allow him even more opportunities to blow by defenders.
