2010 Upstate Prospect Has D-1 Interest

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a story on the status of Pat Moore, who hails from Utica, New York ...

Every terrific AAU team has players that are the backbone of a winning program. According to Albany City Rocks program director Jim Hart, Pat Moore is one of those players that keeps his team successful.

Moore competed last week for the 16 and under Albany City Rocks team that landed a spot in the Peach Jam final. "He provides a lot of leadership for us," said Hart.

The 6-foot-5 forward from Notre Dame High School in Utica, N.Y., is also a big time baseball player, according to Hart. "He has a couple of options," Hart said.

And basketball is certainly an option for the 2010 recruit. "He already has a lot of Ivy League interest and interest from the Atlantic 10," Hart stated.

Among the schools Hart mentioned as being on the trail of Moore were Harvard, Columbia, Brown, and Atlantic 10 schools like Fordham and Rhode Island.

"He's a big reason why we got to the final last week," said Hart. "He works hard but doesn't get the publicity the other players do. But I appreciate everything he does for us to win basketball games."
