Team NJABC Advances To Silver Semifinals

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLORIDA -- NJABC head coach Matthew Pauls realizes his team is made of great balance. And he makes the most out of his bench too.

Utilizing this approach has helped NJABC advance to this morning's silver category semifinal game at the Showcase held at Disney World.

His team is made up of division one college prospects too. As mentioned in a previous article, on any one given night, Pauls' team has several players that can knock down 20 or more points.

But having the big guy in the middle in Markus Kennedy, 6-foot-9 from St. Patrick High School in New Jersey, also helps his team to have a chance to win it all.

Kennedy is a player that has listed several schools as a recruiting interest, including Massachusetts, Ohio State, Rutgers, Michigan, etc. "I'm open," he said.

Syracuse University has been a school watching him closely too this week at the Wide World of Sports complex.

"I've seen them," said Kennedy when asked if he notices coaches watching him compete.

Kennedy is a 2010 prospect and is still progressing in his individual game. And playing for a high caliber coach in Pauls will only help him along this summer.
