Injury Sidelines Junior Prospect For AAUs

Reporter Mike Sullivan has the story on Tobias Harris and his injury ...

Tobias Harris, a 6-foot-7 swingman from Half Hollow Hills West High School in Dix Hills, N.Y., suffered an ankle injury while competing here for the Albany City Rocks at the 16 and under Showcase.

Harris, a versatile player who can score points from anywhere on the floor, was playing for Jim Hart's highly regarded AAU program here at Disney World.

"His ankle is sore so he won't be playing for the Rocks at the AAU nationals," said Torrel Harris, Tobias' dad.

It appears the ankle needs rest. "He'll have it examined by a doctor," Mr. Harris stated.

A 2010 prospect, Tobias has a boatload of high division one offers on the table. Several coaching staffs have watched him compete at the Milk House and inside Disney's new facility, the Jostens Center.

UPDATE: Later Friday, Harris said he's going to stay in Fla. since his ankle is feeling better.
