NJ Forward Ready For Postgraduate Year

Chris Gaston is a player you need to see several times to appreciate his value. He possesses nice size and a good combination of skills. And he has the ability to play both forward positions.

The 6-foot-7 combo forward is expected to be an player someday in the Atlantic 10. He previously had completed a postgraduate year at St. Benedict's Prep in Newark. N.J. He has already given a commitment to Fordham University in the Bronx, New York.

Gaston will join two former St. Anthony's High School (Jersey City, New Jersey) teammates -- Jio Fontan and Alberto Estwick, on the Rose Hill campus in the 2009-2010 season.

BOB HURLEY, SR ON CHRIS GASTON'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: "He's going to be an excellent prospect. After this year at St. Benedict's he really developed and showed the potential to be a great player. He's very, very versatile...He was a guard in grammar school. We were 28-1 with him here and he was our best all-around player.
