While competing on the grounds of Disney World at the Wide World of Sports complex, the Rocks landed spots in the finals of major events and exhibited why Hart has been so excited about his underclassmen.
While there are big names on this team such as Will Regan, Tobias Harris, and Taran Buie, it was the contributions of players like Pat Moore that helped the Rocks be considered one of the best teams on the AAU circuit.
Moore hit several clutch baskets during the two week stretch in Florida, displaying the williness to take the tough shot when necessary.
The 6-foot-5 forward from Notre Dame High School in Utica, N.Y., is a 2010 prospect but is also highly skilled in another sport. Hart told us that he is a big time baseball player too, giving the young man a couple of options college wise down the road.
The Ivy League schools scouted Moore as did schools like Fordham and Rhode Island from the Atlantic 10. Moore isn't a flashy player but he is a winner, a player who seems to be in the middle of most important minutes the Rocks play during a course of an event.
"His hard work is always appreciated as is his leadership," said Hart. "He can help us win a game is so many ways. It's why he's so valuable."
