New Jersey Guard Enjoys New York Experience

Reporter Mike Sullivan updates us on Dominic Cheek and his recruiting process ...

Dominic Cheek has accelerated the interest in his skill level. Having played under St. Anthony's head coach Bob Hurley, Sr., it's no surprise that Cheek continues to improve his game.

The 2009 prospect recently competed in the Boost Mobile Elite 24 game held at Rucker Park on Friday night. "It's always great to play against other top players," said Cheek. "It was an honor to be asked."

Cheek was gracious to speak to us at a press conference and indicated he is considering quite a few schools in the process.

"Connecticut, Kansas, Indiana, Villanova, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Memphis..." Cheek said, digging deep into his memory bank.

Cheek was unsure when he would line up his campus trips.

The talented shooting guard has solid perimeter range on his jumper and is polishing his defensive skills. He has another year with Hurley, a defensive genius, to continue the progress.

"He makes you work hard and it's good," said Cheek.
