2010 Prospect Has Early Division One Interest

Reporter Mike Sullivan continues his profiles of several players in the tri-state area with a look at Josh Daniell ...

St. Patrick high school head coach Kevin Boyle is known as a leader who pays attention to details and helps his players progress. And NJABC AAU coach Matt Paul is quick to point out this will be a benefit to one of his players, Josh Daniell.

"He plays at St Pats, so he gets tremendous instruction and coaching from Kevin Boyle," said Paul of Daniell, a 6-foot-6, 180-pound wing player.

Division one schools are already showing early interest in the 2010 prospect. Rider, Iona, and Monmouth are the front runners right now," said Paul.

Upside is the key word for Daniel, who is in the process of making himself a better overall player. "He is an excellent outside shooter, and his rebounding has improved greatly," said Paul.

Paul added: "He needs to continue to get stronger and more physical, but he has improved getting to the rim off the dribble, as well as his on the ball defense."
