2011 Football/Hoops Prospect Has Options

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a story about a 2011 prospect who has the ability to play two different sports ...

Bruce Brittingham is the type of athlete who has the ability to do many things right in two different sports.

Brittingham, a 6-foot, 165-pound combo guard from Trenton Central High School in Trenton, New Jersey, has impressed his AAU coach, Matt Paul.

"He plays much bigger than he is, able to rebound with the big fellas, and guard little guys as well as bigs," said Paul.

It's expected that Brittingham will get increased looks at his skill level in both basketball and football. "He is a lock down defender, and tough as nails," said Paul.

Paul added: "He had a strong freshman year for Coach Randy Morrison at Trenton Central, and will definitely be a starter for the next few years."

The question for Brittingham is which sport will help him land a scholarship? Or will it be in both. According to Paul, he is exceptional in one particular sport.

"He is a big time football player, and projects to be a high major division one player," he said.
