2010 New Jersey Guard Has Terrific Summer

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a free look at the individual game of Frantz Massenat ...

Frantz Massenat, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound lead guard from Trenton Catholic Academy in Trenton, New Jersey, had a rock solid summer, improving many aspects of his game. Due to his individual progress, it's likely many more schools will watch his progress at Trenton Catholic this season.

His AAU coach benefitted greatly from his play in July. Head coach Matt Paul of NJABC was excited that his junior guard became more aggressive and took his scoring opportunities when they were there.

"... (we've been) pushing him to be more aggressive on the offensive end because he CAN score the ball, and in July he did just that," said Paul.

The NJABC 16 and under team competed down in Orlando at Disney World in the Wide World of Sports complex. Massenat showed a balanced floor game, distributing and getting his teammates involved and knocking down shots.

Frantz is also a good student and has some Ivy League programs watching him carefully, including Princeton. St. Joe's, Temple, Massachusetts, LaSalle, Rider, and Fordham also fill his current list.

Education will certainly play a part in where Frantz decides to go to school. His grade point average is near a 3.5 so he has many options down the road.

The 2010 prospect could take some unofficial visits. The schools being considered are St. Joe's, Fordham, Temple, UMASS, and LaSalle.
