Albany City Rocks Big Man Worth Watching

Brice Kofane, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward from The Miller School in Charlottesville, Virginia, is worth watching over the next two seasons. The junior big man had a solid summer for Jim Hart's Albany City Rocks AAU program.

"Brice was great for us," said Hart, who said Kofane played too with the 17 and under team. Hart stayed with the 16 and under team much of the summer.

We watched Brice play quite a bit while the Rocks competed down in Orlando at the Wide World of Sports complex in Disney World. When Brice had his opportunity, he was active and productive.

"He's going to be a mid to high major division one player," said Hart. "But he has a wide range of schools too. Big East, ACC, Masachusetts, Fairfield."

"He's already been to Fairfield and likes it a lot. So I expect Fairfield to be near the top of his list as this goes along."

Kofane is a player you like as you watch him more. He plays near the rim and seems to enjoy thumping down dunks and blocking and competing for loose balls in the paint.

"He's got two more years," said Hart. "He does a lot of good things on the court. So it's no surprise he has so much interest from top to bottom."
