2011 NJ Prospect Has Much Upside

Reporter Mike Sullivan profiles the individual game of Eric Fanning in this free story ...

Eric Fanning, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound combo forward from Trenton Central High School in Trenton, New Jersey, was a player that NJABC head coach Matt Pauls seemed excited to talk about in our recent interviews.

Paul stated that Fanning's solid freshman season at Trenton Central opened up many eyes and gave many onlookers the impression that his game will continue to improve. Eric is listed in the 2011 class, giving him ample time to polish his skills and individual game.

"He had a strong freshman year at Trenton Central, and really improved while playing for Team NJABC this spring and summer," said Matt Pauls of NJABC.

WHAT MATT PAULS THINKS ABOUT ERIC FANNING'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: "He is a tremendous rebounder, especially on the offensive end, and has strong baseline moves...

"He is learning how to play the game the right way, and once he has another year under his belt, the Garden State better watch out for him.

The exciting news for Paul is Fanning will be around a while. He has some years where he could still grow too. So take into account the experience he compiled as a freshman along with an opportunity to play with NJABC, and it's likely we'll be talking about Eric over the next three seasons."
