Regan competed this past summer with the Albany City Rocks 16 and under team, coached by program director Jim Hart. "He was the steadiest player we had," said Hart. "He makes all the big baskets. He was great for us down in Florida. He hit a bunch of big baskets."
Regan handled himself nicely against all the top names and teams down at the Wide World of Sports complex.
"No matter who the opponent was, he was good," Hart stated.
He recently took a visit to Providence. "He really liked the school and the coaches," said Hart. "He's looking to go to a good academic school with a chance to play right away."
Hart also mentioned Regan was interested in Maryland, Stanford, Virginia, Virginia Tech, St. John's, Oregon State, Fordham, and Arizona State.
"He's got a nice list of schools," said Hart. "Will plays hard and is so clutch. He's a great kid to have on the team."
Hart stated a while back that Regan would be recruited at a high division one level. He is, and the interest continues to expand.
Below is an prior evaluation report:
Will is a very smart player with a high basketball IQ. He is smart along the baseline and uses his agility to move well without the ball, giving the guards a chance to find him in open seams.
He has solid footwork too, allowing him to get position on centers/forwards. A nice hook shot is something that Regan uses often as well.
