Junior Guard From Niagara Falls Excels

Reporter Mike Sullivan has an update on upstate junior guard prospect Davon Marshall, who recently competed in the Can/Am event in upstate New York ...

Davon Marshall, a 5-foot-10 combo guard, has consistently proven he has the skill level to score. He proved this again in the recent Can/Am event.

Marshall averaged 21 points a game at this tournament. A junior from the class of 2010, Marshall polishes his individual game during the fall and winter at Niagara Falls High School in Niagara Falls, New York.

The coaching staff at Niagara Falls High School said they were happy with Marshall's performance. The key for Davon's future is how much does he develop his lead guard skills and mentality. If he succeeds in this area, he'll make a fine division one guard since he already can score.

Marshall also excelled during the summer, helping his team win a Gold Medal at the New York Empire States game. Davon has a wonderful perimeter game but at his size will be looked at to play the point guard position.

Marshall knocked down six three-pointers in one game and 12 for the tournament at the Empire State games.

It is early in his recruiting process. But the staff at Niagara Falls High School mentioned that Buffalo and Albany have shown some recruiting interest.
