St. Patrick Prospect Could Have Big Year

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a free story on the individual game progress of St. Patrick prospect Josh Daniell ...

When yo play for Kevin Boyle at St. Patrick High School in Elizabeth, N.J., the standards are high and success is expected. So it's always a great opportunity for any high school player to be on the roster.

And when you have a chance to play for Matt Pauls and the NJABC AAU program, your chances of succeeding increase more after you play summer ball.

So Josh Daniell, a 6-foot-6, 180-pound wing player from St. Patrick and the NJABC, should continue to progress as a player over the next couple of years. The junior is a member of the 2010 class and already some division one programs are showing interest.

"Rider, Iona, and Monmouth are the front runners," Pauls told us, updating his recruiting process. "He doesn't have a favorite right now."

Josh has a solid perimeter game, one that has impressed Pauls. But it's his improvement in one area of his game that has Paul even more happy. "His rebounding," said Pauls. "This area has improved greatly."

Daniell has two seasons to strengthen his frame and to enhance some guard skills, making him an even more attractive recruit.
