Hoops & Soccer Star Having Great Year

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a free look at the sports career of Chandler Fraser-Pauls, who is doing a great job playing soccer and competing in the game of basketball ...

Chandler Fraser-Pauls, a 6-foot, 160-pound lead guard from the Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, is a lefty backcourt player who is off to a great start playing soccer at his high school.

Fraser-Pauls has scored two goals and has three assists in the first four games of the year. Pennington is undefeated in four games thus far.

Fraser-Pauls is also a player to watch over the next couple of seasons playing basketball. He had a terrific summer and nailed down a few honors -- including making the all star teams at both Eastern Invitational and Adidas Phenom 150.

As a freshman last year, he averaged 15 points and seven assists a game. He claimed honors as second team all prep by the Trentonian and Trenton Times.

An outstanding student, Chandler has several high quality academic schools interested in his abilities. They are: Columbia, Cornell, Princeton, Brown, Bucknell, and Lehigh.

Division III Amherst, Middlebury, Williams, and Wesleyan have expressed interest already in recruiting Chandler for both sports -- soccer and basketball. He hasn't decided whether he will pursue both sports in college.
