Upstate Forward Transfers Down South

Reporter Mike Sullivan had an opportunity to get some updates on the talented players that compete at Niagara Falls High School in upstate New York. The coaching staff provided us with valuable information on a very talented forward in Myron Respress ...

Myron Respress, a 6-foot-7 forward from Niagara Falls High School in Niagara Falls, New York, has decided to play his prep ball down South, according to the coaching staff at Niagara Falls High School.

Respress, a member of the 2010 class and a junior, transferred to North Carolina Tech. Respress was a player we had been following over the past year.

Myron was watched also on a national level by Scout's National expert Dave Telep at the King James event last Spring.

DAVE TELEP'S EVALUATION:

Far and away the most competitive kid we saw Friday night. His team was down big and he wasn't about to stand for it. He's active around the rim, has a body he can grow into and will battle inside. He's probably 6-7 and pushing two bills so there's room to grow.

Big East schools had been keeping an eye on Respress over the past year.

AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT: The ability to progress in the areas of shooting the perimeter shot. If he improves his short and mid-range game, Respress will likely fetch some quality division one offers.
