Albany City Rocks Prospect Has D-1 Interest

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a detailed look at the game of Pat Moore, a player who impressed some division one basketball programs over the summer with his solid AAU play with the Albany City Rocks ...

Albany City Rocks program director/coach Jim Hart has been excited about his young players for a while. His voice sparkles when discussing the many talented players in this program such as Taran Buie and Will Regan.

When discussing Pat Moore, a 6-foot-5 forward from Notre Dame High School in Utica, N.Y., Hart jumps at the opportunity to discuss his value to his Rocks program. "He knows how to finish a game and be part of helping the team win the game," said Hart.

Moore proved this during the spring and summer playing with the Albany City Rocks 16 and under AAU team.

Moore seemed to be in the midst of every big Albany City Rocks comeback or on the floor when it mattered.

The 2010 prospect has two more years to polish his individual game. He's also a recruit that has a wonderful option in another sport -- baseball. "He's a big time player," Hart said.

Moore plays third base and shortstop. Pat has two interesting opportunities scholarship wise.

Fairfield has jumped into the recruiting process while Colgate, Harvard, Cornell, Fordham, Rhode Island, and Jacksonville have expressed interest.
