Soccer & Hoops Big Part Of Fraser-Pauls' Life

Reporter Mike Sullivan profiles the individual sports and academic career of Chandler Fraser-Pauls, who continues to excel in two sports while competing at The Pennington School in New Jersey ...

Chandler Fraser-Pauls, a 6-foot, 160-pound lead guard from the Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, continues to thrive in two sports -- soccer and basketball.

Chandler has recorded eight goals and five assists thus far in the soccer season. For those unfamiliar with the game of soccer, these are special statistics for any season.

He is also a lefty backcourt player who is rated high by many scouting organizations both locally and nationally.

Chandler had a special summer and was rewarded for his efforts by landing a spot in the all star teams at both Eastern Invitational and Adidas Phenom 150.

Another eye-opening aspect to his career is Chandler is only a sophomore. Last year in his first season on the high school level, he recorded 15 points a game and handed out seven assists.

Because of his terrific play, he was named to the second team all prep by the Trentonian and Trenton Times.

Skilled in the classroom too, Fraser-Pauls has early interest from several Patriot and Ivy League schools. Previously, it was reported that Lehigh, Columbia, Cornell, Princeton, Brown, and Bucknell were interested.

Perhaps Chandler will end up playing both sports in college. But he has three options: basketball, soccer or academic scholarship.
