UPDATE: Tamir Jackson appears to be very happy with his college choice now. He had previously given a commitment to UAB but then decided to open up his recruiting process in the month of August.

"I'm excited about going there," he said. "I'll have a chance to compete for playing time. I'll have to earn it but that's what you want. It's also a great school. I feel I can also learn a lot from the coaching staff."

Jackson added: "I'm working on all parts of my game. My shooting, my defense, my ball handling. I try to use every practice to work on my game."

PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF TAMIR JACKSON'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

STRENGTHS: Tamir seems to make sure he has a solid handle on the pumpkin when directing the offense. He plays on a team filled with many offensive players who have the ability to take over the game. He has a good first step, forcing his defender to backpeddle from time to time, allowing him to knock down some jumpers.

AREAS TO IMPROVE: The outside game. If Jackson is more consistent in his perimeter game, it will allow him even more opportunities to blow by defenders.
