Gorton HS Prospect Worth Watching This Year

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a free look at the individual game of Chris Ranglin of Gorton High School in New York ....

Rob Rizzo is excited about being the head coach at Gorton High School in Yonkers, New York. Rizzo, who had a great run as the head coach of the Westchester Hawks a couple of summers ago, spent some valuable time working with St. Anthony's head coach Bobby Hurley, Sr.

"It was a great opportunity," said Rizzo.

Rizzo is also positive about this upcoming season due to a senior prospect he has on his squad in Chris Ranglin, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound shooting guard.

STRENGTHS IN CHRIS RANGLIN'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: Strong on the boards, solid passer and can knock it down when he has space along the perimeter.

*Ranglin was an All Section I selection last season.

The strength of Chris' frame should help him create some mismatches on the court, according to Rizzo.

Rizzo has also praised his player on the defensive side of the ball.

Chris did not play on the AAU circuit so programs probably don't know too much about his individual game. But Rizzo believes if he has a good season that some low division one programs might consider him.

**Ranglin is a good student too, achieving a qualifying score.
