Albany City Rocks Director Likes His Big Man

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a look at the individual game of Brice Kofane, who played for Jim Hart's Albany City Rocks AAU program this summer ...

Brice Kofane, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward from The Miller School in Charlottesville, Virginia, is a player that Albany City Rocks head coach/program director Jim Hart likes quite a bit.

Kofane gave his team a physical presence around the rim and was athletic enough to put some fear into players taking liberties on drives to the basket.

A key member of the 16 and under Albany City Rocks' AAU program over the summer in several key tournaments, Kofane energized Hart's team on several occasions with rim-rocking dunks and swatting balls into the stands.

"He gives you a boost, a spark when he dunks or blocks a shot," said Hart.

Kofane, a junior and member of the 2010 class, doesn't mind getting physical with competing big bodies in the paint.

He has the ability to play at a high division one level. And Hart said that the major conference schools are already interested while Fairfield continues to be a major factor in his recruiting process.

Brice has already visited Fairfield and Hart said Kofane is interested.
