High D-1 Guard Prospect Has Top Three

Reporter Mike Sullivan spoke to Albany City Rocks program director Jim Hart about the recruiting status of high division one guard prospect Taran Buie, who competed for the 16 and under team this past summer ...

Albany City Rocks program director Jim Hart said Taran Buie, a 6-foot-2 backcourt player from Bishop Maginn High School in N.Y., is still open in his recruiting process but has a top three list right now.

"Maryland, Georgia Tech, and Notre Dame are his top three schools," said Hart. "After that there are many other schools who he is considering like Penn State, Virginia, Virginia Tech ... "

There had been some talk that Taran would take a visit to Georgia Tech this weekend. However, sources indicate this trip is not feasible due to the inflated prices to take an airline trip. Buie would have to take an unofficial visit, an expense he would have to take personally because he's a junior.

Buie has previously mentioned interest in Boston College and Syracuse.

"He's open," said Hart. "But the three schools I mentioned before are his top ones."
