"Iona's been around a lot," said T.C.I. coach Pernell Hosier. "Fairleigh Dickinson and South Carolina State came in to take a look (this fall)."
White was named first team NJCAA Region XV as a freshman after averaging 14.5 points and 9.5 assists.
A pass-first point guard with a strong feel for the game, White has good vision and an excellent court sense. He isn't overly explosive but has impeccable instincts for his position.
White competed with T.C.I. at Rick Ball's JUCO Jamboree at St. Peter's College in Jersey City, N.J, last weekend, but was not at full strength after a recent medical procedure.
"He's coming off of minor surgery for a slight tear in his meniscus," said Hosier. "He's only at about 65 percent (right now)."
White spent time at Rise (Pa.) Academy and Milford (N.Y.) Academy following his stint at Lincoln, where he spent his senior year. He was a standout at Grady High School, also in Brooklyn, during his first three years.
