New Jersey Guard Should Have Big Year

Reporter Mike Sullivan gives a free player profile look at the individual game of NJABC guard Steve Rennard, who had a terrific summer for head coach Matt Pauls at some major events during the July evaluation period ...

PLAYER PROFILE: Steve Rennard

HEIGHT: 6-foot-1

WEIGHT: 171 pounds

AAU PROGRAM: NJABC

AAU HEAD COACH: Matt Pauls

COLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES OF INTEREST: The level of interest has picked up and expanded for Steve since his summer play. An exceptional student, he's going to have some steep academic institutions recruiting him very hard.

Brown, Penn, Davidson, Bucknell, Lehigh, Lafayette, Vermont, Columbia, Cornell, Princeton, Massachusetts, and Fordham have been previously mentioned as schools of interest.

"His recruitment is wide open," said Pauls.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF STEVE RENNARD'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: Won't force the issue. Will open up shooting lanes for himself by rotating the ball quickly and then getting himself in position to shoot the deep ball.
