2011 NJ Prospect Has Interest In Two Sports

Chandler Fraser-Pauls, a 6-foot, 160-pound lead guard from the Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, continues to help himself attract attention in two sports -- soccer and basketball.

Chandler had a strong sophomore season as a forward for The Pennington School boys varsity soccer team. He recorded 17 goals and 12 assists to help the team to a 20-3-1 record, and the New Jersey Prep B State Soccer Championship.

Chandler's team went deep into the soccer playoffs too, helping them to the finals of the Mercer County Tournament.

Basketball season is about to start though and Fraser-Pauls is gearing up for a big sophomore season.

Chandler is expected to land quality minutes basketball wise with The Pennington School at the point guard position.

An excellent student too, Chandler has opened the door for many opportunities when his college decision arrives.

Cornell, Princeton, Brown, Bucknell, American, Lafayette, Lehigh are recruiting him for basketball while some interest is building from division one schools for soccer.

There are some programs looking at Pauls to play two sports in college. Fraser-Pauls has early interest from some of the top division three schools, including Amherst, and may consider playing both basketball and soccer in college at the division three level.

*He is also a lefty backcourt player who is rated high by many scouting organizations both locally and nationally. Chandler had a special summer and was rewarded for his efforts by landing a spot in the all star teams at both Eastern Invitational and Adidas Phenom 150.
