Upstate Guard Has New Recruiting List

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a recruiting update on the status of upstate guard Davon Marshall of Niagara Falls High School ...

Davon Marshall, a 5-foot-10 combo guard from Niagara Falls High School in Niagara Falls, New York, is expected to play a big part in the success of his team this upcoming season.

A 2010 junior prospect who had a terrific month of July and August, Marshall saw his stock rise and recruiting interest pick up. Many division one programs are likely to watch his progress in his individual game.

Many programs are going to watch carefully how Marshall progresses in the lead guard skill category. He certainly has the ability to drain jumpers. The question is how will he handle the responsibilities in taking care of the basket and directing an offense.

According to the coaching staff at Niagara Falls High School, Marshall has division one interest from Lehigh, Northeastern, Buffalo, Canisius, Northeastern, and Central Connecticut State. The Niagara Falls High School coaching staff states that Davon is wide open in his recruiting process.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF DAVON MARSHALL'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

DAVON MARSHALL'S STRENGTHS: Davon's best asset is his skill level from the perimeter. As he adds strength to his frame, he will be able to diversify his game more with finishes near the rim. This will also allow his game to keep his defender honest on the perimeter.
