Long Island Lutheran has a loaded, beast of a schedule, so surely Tobias, a 6-foot-7 wing player, will be tested on several nights during the 2008-2009 season.
It also appears any campus visits are in the distant future. "He's just focusing on the high school season and school," said Mr. Harris.
Mr. Harris believed that it was unlikely that Tobias would take any unofficial visits during the season.
Previously, Harris had visited Syracuse. We reported using Mr. Harris' own words:
"Tobias visited Syracuse for Midnight Madness. While watching the event the fans saw Tobias and started chanting on the sidelines where we sitting, 'We want Tobias' over and over again. It was great. It ended with Paul Harris jumping over three kids for a dunk."
The weekend didn't end for Tobias though. "Tobias watched the scrimmage the next day and then he spoke with coach Jim Boheim a lot during the scrimmage," Mr. Harris said.
Harris and his father praised the Syracuse staff, including assistant coach Mike Hopkins.
But Harris has many schools on his list (see database profile). He's hoping to carve this list down sometime next spring.
