New Jersey Guard Has Plenty Of D-1 Interest

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a free look at the individual game of Frantz Massenat, who had a very good summer competing of Matt Pauls and the NJABC program ...

Frantz Massenat, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound lead guard from Trenton Catholic Academy in Hamilton, New Jersey, is preparing to have a big season as a junior prospect.

Massenat, recovering from an injured wrist, had hurt himself at the Hoop Group Fall Jam Fest, according to Matt Pauls of the NJABC AAU program.

According to Pauls, Frantz broke his wrist. "He's recovering nicely," Pauls said.

This hasn't hurt his recruiting interest though. Princeton, Penn, Bucknell, LaSalle, Rider, and Fordham have been keeping in touch with coaching staffs to express their early interest in Frantz' skill level.

Previously, Massenat took an unofficial visit to Princeton University.

Massenat competed this summer for the 16 and under NJABC AAU program under Pauls. It was a team that went deep at the Super Showcase at the Wide World of Sports complex in Disney World (Lake Buena Vista, Florida).

"He'll end up being a quality division one player," Pauls said.
