Anthony completed his sophomore season playing football for The Pennington School. He competed at the defensive back and running back positions.
So far in the first few weeks of the basketball season, Gaffney has proven to be a valuable member of The Pennington School program. Gaffney scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds in The Pennington School's victory over Rutgers Prep.
Gaffney, who sees most of his minutes at the shooting guard slot, also plays for Matt Pauls' NJABC program in the spring and summer.
Anthony will also be scheduling several football camp combines in the future.
Gaffney, a strong student, has been looked at already by the Ivy League schools. Cornell, Columbia, Brown, and Princeton are showing basketball interest in his skill level. Maryland has been peeking at his football skills. *Gaffney averaged 11 points and six rebounds as a freshman. He was named second team all prep by the local newspaper, the Trentonian.
