Long Island Prospect Worth A Look This Season

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a detailed look at the individual game of Long Island prospect Josh Malone, who had previously played with Torrel Harris' Unique All Stars AAU program ...

Josh Malone, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard/small forward from Deer Park High School in Deer Park, N.Y., is a player to watch over the next two to three months.

Malone, who showed he was worthy of some division one interest after his play in the IS8 Fall League, was praised several times by Unique All Stars head coach Torrel Harris.

Malone competed for Harris' AAU program in some events, including the IS8 Fall League.

Harris said he thought Malone's game had improved and he helped his team win games in many different ways.

Because Malone didn't compete during some of the key AAU periods, he fell under the radar screen, according to Harris.

Below is a look at a previous scouting report, produced by Mike Sullivan, Frank Mantesta, and Brian Towey.

TORREL HARRIS' VIEW OF JOSH MALONE'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: He's a multi-faceted player with many weapons to use at his disposal. He has an incredibly quick first step to the basket, possesses great ball handling skills, and can shoot from all spots on the floor.

SCHOOL INTEREST: Fairfield, St. Francis, Columbia, Siena, Stony Brook.
