HEIGHT: 6-foot-6

HIGH SCHOOL: Long Island Lutheran in Brookville, N.Y.

HIGH SCHOOL HEAD COACH: Brian Carey

POSITIONS: Shooting Guard/Point Guard/Small Forward/

CLASS: 2011 Class

AAU PROGRAM: Unique All Stars

AAU HEAD COACH: Torrel Harris

RECRUITING UPDATE: Harris, who has grown several inches over the past 18 months, has a Big East offer on the table now, according to his dad, Torrel.

"Growing over eight inches the the past year and half, University of Connecticut has seen see the great potential in Tyler," said Mr. Harris.

"Coach (Jim) Calhoun wants Tyler to be at UCONN so he offered him a scholarship. Coach Calhoun states Tyler is going to be special.

"Tyler has been going to UCONN elite camp since the 7th grade. The coaches have watched his growth over the past few years and believe he's going to be a very good player."

Tyler Harris has become an even bigger player for Long Island Lutheran High School due to the injury of his older brother, Tobias.

Against National Christian Academy (a team with several division one prospects on it, including Dante Taylor -- Pittsburgh recruit), Tyler scored 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out five assists and had six steals.

OTHER COLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES OF INTEREST: Fordham, Syracuse, St. Francis, Delaware, and Duquesne.
