New York Big Man Has Some Options Ahead

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides an updated player profile story on Satellite Academy big man prospect Brian Wilson, who has been reclassified ...

PROFILE: Brian Wilson

HEIGHT: 6-foot-7

WEIGHT: 210 Pounds

POSITIONS: Power Forward/Center

CLASS: 2010, A Current Junior. However, Brian may need some extra time to straighten out his academic situation. He has several options over the next year to look into including prep school/JUCO.

HIGH SCHOOL: Brian played last season at Long Island Lutheran in Brookville, New York. He is currently at Satellite Academy in the Bronx, New York. The basketball team is well run and Wilson seemed to be more confident with his game playing a few nights ago at Our Savior New American.

He told us he's working hard on and off the court as did the coaching staff at Satellite.

FORMER HIGH SCHOOL HEAD COACH: Brian Carey

WHAT MIKE SULLIVAN THINKS OF BRIAN WILSON'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: I like Wilson's individual game. He needs to play hard all the time. I thought I saw that against Our Savior New American and he produced some solid results. The kid can play.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION: Wilson has the size and feet movement around the rim to score in traffic. It's wanting the ball consistently on each possession that will help him become regarded as one of the best frontcourt players in the New York area.
