Steele Davis, a 6-foot-8, 215-pound forward from Our Savior New American High School in Centereach, New York, has started to pick up his play in recent games.

Davis is a key member of the Pioneers basketball program. He scores most of his points near the rim. He does his most consistent work following up missed shots or running the floor in transition.

His list of schools is extensive. Davis, who played at Rise Academy last season, lists Syracuse, South Carolina, Maryland, Memphis, Miami of Florida, Florida, Kentucky, Georgia, Southern California, Virginia Tech, Georgetown, and DePaul.

Davis, who played well against Pittsburgh recruit Dante Taylor of National Christian Academy, indicated he's just focusing on his season.

"I'm trying to improve in every part of my game," he said. "My dribbling, my perimeter game, my defense and rebounding."
