Christ The King Senior Worthy Of D-1 Interest

Reporter Mike Sullivan says Christ The King guard/forward Sean Johnson is as valuable to his team as any player is this season as the Royals try to win games in the New York City Catholic League ...

Sean Johnson is a player you just love to watch. The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder from Christ The King High School in Middle Village, New York is always around the basketball and doesn't mind competing for loose balls against bigger bodies near the rim.

Christ The King has certainly produced some the the more eye-opening talent from New York City over the years. This season, Johnson is the key player for the traditional powerhouse Royals' program. He's as productive with his touches as any player in the New York City area.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF SEAN JOHNSON'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Sean Johnson plays much bigger than his size. He consistently will grab rebounds in traffic, make a key steal, or fly to the rim for a terrific finish.

Johnson is simply a winner, always doing many different tasks and answering the challenges his team faces during the course of a basketball game.

BRIAN TOWEY'S EVALUATION OF SEAN JOHNSON'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

The athletic finisher thrives in the transition game, with excellent foot speed in the open floor. Johnson is a slasher with good lateral quickness and body control, a quick first step, and the ability to explode to the cup.

Johnson plans on waiting until after the season to put serious thought into his recruitment.
