Two-Sport Star Has A Big East Offer On Table

Dontae Johnson, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound two-sport star from The Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, was offered today by Connecticut to play football, according to his basketball AAU coach Matt Pauls of NJABC.

Johnson, who has offers from North Carolina State, Maryland and Michigan State, is also considering Virginia Tech, Duke, Georgia and Florida.

Pauls also said Virginia Tech might offer Johnson this weekend.

Dontae is also solid hoops player. However, his offers from the above schools are to play football in the future. He currently stars at the wide receiver/safety position. He's been timed in the 40 in 4.5 seconds.

A junior, Dontae is also an exceptional student, possessing a 3.8 grade point average.

Dontae could have a decision by June.
