NJ Combo Forward Worth Watching This Season

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a free player profile look at the individual game of Chase Plummer, a combo forward from the state of New Jersey ...

Chase Plummer, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound combo forward from St. Patrick High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey, is likely to become a better player over the next year.

Plummer competes for highly regarded Kevin Boyle's St. Patrick High School team in Elizabeth, New Jersey. In addition, Plummer will play for Matt Pauls' Team NJABC AAU program this spring and summer.

It's expected Pauls' team will go down to Disney World in July for the evaluation period. It's a place where NJABC had a lot of success competing against some of the top teams across the country.

According to Matt Pauls, who has spoken highly of Plummer's individual game and his habits, Chase should be a player that will help Team NJABC win some more games this summer. "He's a 2010 kid," said Pauls.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION ON CHASE PLUMMER'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: Plummer is a tough nosed player who thrives near the rim in one-on-one battles. He has a solid mid-range game.

The areas Chase is currently working on to improve include ballhandling and his on-the-ball defense.

Pauls believes Chase is a mid-level division one prospect. He's also skilled in the classroom and has several academically minded colleges and universities starting to take a look.

Currently, Plummer has strong looks from schools in the Ivy League, Patriot League, the Atlantic Ten, and the Northeast Conference.
