Wayne Newsom, a 6-foot-7, 207-pound forward from Piscataway High School in Piscataway, New Jersey, is a player that many have high hopes for in the future.

Newsom has shown the ability to score and rebound effectively. In addition, he has two more seasons to polish his individual game.

Because of his size and skills an early list has formed regarding college and university interest.

According to sources close to Newsom, the following schools have either offered or expressed some interest:

Fairfield, Stony Brook, Monmouth, Rider, Mount Saint Mary's, Iona, Robert Morris, Drexel, and Quinnipiac.

Currently, he doesn't have a leader in his recruiting process.
