Gaffney, who is a 2011 prospect with some decent upside in both sports -- basketball and football -- played defensive back and running back this past season for The Pennington School.
His coaches are excited about his chances of landing offers in both sports too, including his AAU coach, Matt Pauls of Team NJABC.
years has shown the ability to make an impact in two major sports early on in his high school career. Gaffney has shown the skills to compete effectively in both basketball and football.
Gaffney plays mostly the shooting guard position for Pauls' highly regarded program.
In addition, Anthony is a terrific student, opening up even better options for himself down the road. Columbia, Yale, Princeton, Penn, Lehigh, Bucknell are just a few schools watching Gaffney's progress.

In football, some of the schools on the East Coast are keeping track of his progress and are likely to scout him more intensely next season as a junior.
*Gaffney averaged 11 points and six rebounds as a freshman. He was named second team all prep by the local newspaper, the Trentonian.
