NJ Football Star Lands A Big Ten Offer

Dontae Johnson, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound two-sport star from The Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, was offered by Minnesota of the big Ten, according to his basketball AAU coach Matt Pauls of NJABC.

Johnson, who also has offers from Connecticut, North Carolina State, Maryland and Michigan State, is also considering Virginia Tech, Duke, Georgia and Florida.

Dontae is also decent division one prospect. Johnson scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the recent semifinal playoff game for The Pennington School.

He competes in football at the wide receiver/safety position. He's been timed in the 40 in 4.5 seconds.

A junior, Dontae is also an exceptional student, possessing a 3.8 grade point average.

Dontae could have a decision by June.
