HIGH SCHOOL: Albany Academy in Albany, New York

POSITIONS: Point Guard/Shooting Guard

CLASS: 2010, A current junior

AAU TEAM: Albany City Rocks

AAU TEAM'S PROGRAM DIRECTOR: Jim Hart

COLLEGE INTERESTS: Jamel selected a nice fit for himself. He gave a verbal commitment to Fairfield, whose hard working staff has been searching out some of the best talent in the area to bolster its program.

Albany City Rocks program director Jim Hart is excited for Fields' and his individual game. "He's a strong guard that goes to the rim hard," said Hart. "He'll do well on the college level. I see him improving every year."

*Some notes during Fields' season -- Jamel rattled home 27 points to help his team upend a very talented Bishop Loughlin High School of the highly regarded Catholic League in New York City.

WE LOOK AT THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES IN JAMEL FIELDS' INDIVIDUAL GAME: It can be said that his strength and weakness is measured from his confidence and aggressiveness.

Jamel has always had the heart and strength to take his dribble to the front of the rim against the big frames. Not afraid to get knocked down, he make the spinning drive to draw the hard foul too.
