New Jersey Forward Catching Early Interest

Chase Plummer, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound combo forward from St. Patrick High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey, is gearing up for a healthy dose of basketball over the next year.

Plummer plays for Kevin Boyle, one of the top high school coaches in the country in the winter. During the spring and summer, Chase will switch uniforms and play for Matt Paul's highly regarded AAU basketball program, Team NJABC.

Pauls has previously said many positive things about Plummer's individual game. "He plays for a great coach in a great high school program," said Pauls. "He's learning everyday and that includes practice."

A member of the 2010 class, the next year is big for Plummer.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION ON CHASE PLUMMER'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: Plummer is a tough nosed player who thrives near the rim in one-on-one battles. He has a solid mid-range game.

The areas Chase is currently working on to improve include ballhandling and his on-the-ball defense.

Pauls believes Chase is a mid-level division one prospect. He's also skilled in the classroom and has several academically minded colleges and universities starting to take a look.

Currently, Plummer has the more serious looks coming colleges and universities in the Ivy League, Patriot League, the Atlantic Ten, and the Northeast Conference.
