Solid 2011 Prospect Will Play For Team NJABC

Reporter Mike Sullivan has an update on the spring and summer status of Khalid Lewis, a 2011 prospect who is already receiving some impressive division one interest this early in his high school career ...

Khalid Lewis, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound combo guard from Trenton Catholic Academy in Hamilton, New Jersey (previously McCorristin Catholic H.S.), will play for Matt Pauls' NJABC AAU program, according to sources.

Pauls' AAU team last spring and summer performed extremely well at both local and national tournaments, including the busy summer evaluation month of July.

Pauls should have another great team as most of his players are returning.

Lewis is a good addition too. Many of the area colleges and universities are looking at the 2011 prospect. Iona College, making tremendous progress over the past couple of years, has already offered Khalid a scholarship.

Lewis is also receiving some interest from Fairfield, Penn, Rider, Stony Brook, Michigan State and Penn State.

We also previously reported on this website that Lewis had been being looked at by Robert Morris, Monmouth, Drexel, St. Joe's, and Fordham.
