WEIGHT: 215 Pounds
POSITIONS: Power Forward/Center
CLASS: 2010, A Current Junior. The question is where does his eligibility stand. Brian is a player we've liked for a while. The focus should be on working hard both on and off the court.
It'll be some time before we find out the real classification or whether JUCO is in Brian's future. We hope he continues to make progress with his future AAU program and coaches this spring and summer. It's an opportunity for him to show what level he should be considered.
HIGH SCHOOL: Brian played two seasons ago at Long Island Lutheran in Brookville, New York. He competed this year for Satellite Academy in the Bronx, New York. We thought he did a nice job in the he competed in.
BRIAN WILSON ON HIS INDIVIDUAL GAME AND FUTURE:
"I'm trying to work on all parts of my game. I'm trying to focus on that as well as schoolwork. I'm not trying to get too far in my thinking. I just trying to take it one day at time."
PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF BRIAN WILSON'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:
WHAT MIKE SULLIVAN SAYS: I like Wilson's individual game. He needs to play hard all the time. I thought I saw that against Our Savior New American and he produced some solid results. The kid can play.
Brian has the size and feet movement around the rim to score in traffic. It's wanting the ball consistently on each possession that will help him become regarded as one of the best frontcourt players in the New York area.
