Hakeem Harris, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound combo guard from Blair Academy in Blairstown, New Jersey, is a 2010 prospect who has a big spring and summer ahead as college basketball programs figure out the level he could be an effective player.

Harris had a solid junior year for head coach Joe Mantegna, who always does a great job of helping his players improve and land scholarship offers.

COLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES OF INTEREST: Ivy League schools, Providence, Stanford, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech.

STRENGTHS IN HAKEEM HARRIS'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: Ball handling, competitive spirit, leadership, defense, and basketball IQ.

Perimeter shot, shot selection.

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES:

He has terrific speed. Once the speed is utilized within the framework of a game, he'll become an even more effective guard.
