"After an eventful and successful season a Long Island Lutheran High School concluding with a state championship in Glens Falls, Tobias and Tyler (younger brother) will be transferring back to Half Hollow Hills High School West," said Mr. Torrel Harris (Tobias and Tyler's dad).
"We have decided as a family that in order to prepare for regents exams Tobias and Tyler would transfer after Spring Break. The boys enjoyed their time at LuHi academically, socially and athletically and were able to take much away from the great learning experience."
Harris, who has a bunch of scholarship offers from several high division one college basketball programs, was recently named Player of the Year by Newsday (major paper on Long Island).
"Tobias and Tyler look forward to returning to the school district they have attended since kindergarten," Mr. Harris added. "As they further develop their games in the off-season they look to pick up where the Hills West 2007-08 team left off and work towards the goal of bringing an AA state championship home to Half Hollow Hills community."
We reported earlier today that Tobias' top 11 in no particular order are Syracuse, Connecticut, Geogia Tech, Rutgers, Maryland, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Louisville, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Oklahoma.
*Harris is expected to compete this spring and summer on the AAU circuit. He's likely to play with Jim Hart's Albany City Rocks at some events as well as the Unique All Stars, a team coached by his dad.
