NJ Football Prospect Lands Big East Offer

Dontae Johnson, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound two-sport star from The Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, was offered tonight by Big East football program Louisville.

Previously, we reported he had been offered by the University of Virginia, according to his AAU basketball coach, Matt Pauls.

Shortly before the Virginia offer, Dontae picked up a scholarship offer from Big Ten school Minnesota.

Dontae, who also has offers from Connecticut, North Carolina State, Maryland and Michigan State, is also considering Virginia Tech, Duke, Georgia and Florida.

Johnson competes in football at the wide receiver/safety position. He's been timed in the 40 in 4.5 seconds.

A 2010 prospect, Dontae is also an exceptional student, holding a 3.8 grade point average.
